Wind Turbine
Drone Inspections

PROFESSIONAL WIND TURBINE INSPECTION
Wind turbine inspections can be time-consuming, expensive and potentially hazardous when conventional access methods are required.
Our drone-based approach provides detailed close-range imagery while reducing the need for rope access and other high-risk inspection methods.
We focus on high-quality field data capture that can be used for inspection, analysis, reporting and asset-management workflows.
Our services can support both direct inspection projects and companies that already have their own inspection platforms or reporting systems.
WHAT WE INSPECT
Turbine Blades
• Leading-edge erosion • Nacelle exterior
• Cracks and splits • Hatches and covers
• Surface and coating damage • External equipment
• Lightning damage • Visible structural components
• Lightning protection systems • Periodic inspections
• Trailing edges • Condition monitoring
• Blade tips • Maintenance planning
Nacelle & External Components • Before-and-after comparisons
INSPECTION DATA & DEFECT EXAMPLES
High-resolution drone imagery can reveal details that may be difficult or expensive to capture using conventional inspection methods.

Examples of conditions that can be documented through close-range aerial imagery. Actual inspection findings and engineering assessment remain the responsibility of the client or appointed inspection specialist.
HOW THE INSPECTION WORKS
01 — PROJECT & SITE PREPARATION
We review the turbine location, project requirements, operating environment and required image coverage before the flight.
02 — DRONE DATA CAPTURE
Our pilots conduct the required flight operations and capture high-resolution imagery according to the agreed inspection procedure and specifications.
03 — IMAGE QUALITY CHECK
Captured imagery is reviewed to ensure the required areas have been covered and that the data is suitable for the agreed workflow.
04 — DATA DELIVERY
Images and field data are delivered according to the client's requirements and can be provided for use within an existing inspection platform, analysis system or reporting workflow.
FIELD DATA CAPTURE FOR INSPECTION COMPANIES
Already have your own inspection platform?
We can work within your existing procedures.
If your company provides the inspection software, analysis platform, reporting system or flight specifications, we can provide the local drone operations and field-data acquisition in Japan.
This makes our service suitable for:
• Inspection companies
• Wind O&M providers
• Renewable-energy operators
• Drone inspection platforms
• Engineering companies
• Asset-management companies
• International companies requiring a local Japanese operator
We can follow your required flight procedures, image specifications and data requirements rather than requiring you to adopt a separate inspection system.

OUR EXPERIENCE
We have extensive experience supporting commercial wind-turbine projects, both offshore and onshore.
Our work includes turbine sites across Japan and England, including remote and challenging locations. In Japan, our projects have taken us to Hokkaido, Aomori, Akita, Iwate, Miyagi, Fukushima, and other regions.
Our experience allows us to work effectively with:
• Wind-farm operators
• O&M companies
• Inspection providers
• Engineering companies
• International drone inspection platforms
We understand that every inspection project can have different requirements, which is why we can adapt our field operations to the client's procedures and specifications.
